When I try to install Windows 7 it says that I have to have an internal hard drive to install it. If not, use a regular mouse to make your life easier and go back to the laptop manufacturers website and dowload the touchpad driver. Id like to install Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro, but as the internal hard drive cable is not working, Im using it with an external hard drive plugged in which OS X is installed on. I would simply install Windows and when its done installing, it should hopefully autodetect it.

Im not sure, generally touch pads should work as a generic mouse and dont need a special driver.
